Kayaking

WHAT TO BRING: (And Other Items Highly Recommended!)

Essentials:
• Water
• Snack(s)
• Dry bag for any personal items
• If you wear glasses please wear a strap to prevent loss. (We also recommend you bring an extra set of glasses or contacts in case of loss as well as carrying case and lens solution for contacts)
• Sunglasses (with strap to secure them)
• Sunscreen (waterproof and sweat-proof - SPF 30 or higher)
• lip balm Sunscreen

Medications:

• Please inform the guide prior to departure of any limitations or medications relevant. (This includes but is not limited to any allergies (eg. Bees/wasps), previous sports injury (eg. Shoulder), health conditions (eg. asthma, angina)
• If you require any medications, an EPI pen or puffer duplicates of your medication must be provided to the guide prior to departure.

Clothing:
• Comfortable clothing designed for the outdoors made from Merino Wool, or synthetics such as polyester, polypropylene, or nylon is recommended.
• Bathing suit / shorts
• Outdoor clothing is recommended. Please dress according to the weather wearing comfortable pants or shorts, a non-cotton shirt, warm fleece pullover
• Hat for the sun, rain or warmth (depending on the weather)
• Windbreaker, rain jacket with a hood made from breathable material works well to protect you from the wind and rain.
• Shoes should be comfortable (sandals, running shoes)
• Change of clothes in a dry bag (or Ziploc bag)
• On cooler evenings Cycling type gloves will keep your hands warm

Other optional items:
• Waterproof or disposable camera (Footprint Adventures Inc. is not responsible for any personal items lost or damaged on our kayak trips, so if it means a lot to you, leave it secured on land.)
• Extra set of car keys
• Binoculars
